Who produces SUPER WHY?
SUPER WHY is the brainchild of Executive Producers, Angela C. Santomero, a co-creator of the preschool entertainment phenomenon, Blue's Clues, and Samantha Freeman Alpert, a children's entertainment industry veteran. As Co-founders of Out of the Blue Enterprises, they are dedicated to producing a show that stimulates the minds of kids and families in fresh ways and that brings educational entertainment to a new level. Out of the Blue produces SUPER WHY with Decode Entertainment Inc. The series is animated by C.O.R.E Digital Pictures Inc.
How is SUPER WHY researched?
The series is researched and evaluated by the SUPER WHY research team, led by Dr. Alice Wilder, Ed.D. Research is done in preschools, kindergartens, Head Start centers and daycare centers serving diverse groups throughout the New York tri-state area. Each episode of SUPER WHY is tested with kids at various stages of production, including scripting, storyboarding and animation. Using research as a guide, SUPER WHY scaffolds educational elements, so kids within the 3-6 age range are learning at their own level and can grow with the series.
What makes SUPER WHY's approach to reading unique?
SUPER WHY is the only preschool show created to help kids learn key reading skills through interactive storybook adventures. The SUPER WHY team also works closely with leading reading and television researchers and institutions to make sure that the show is in sync with the latest reading studies.
