Afterschool Activities: What's in Your World?
In "What's in Your World?," kids explore biodiversity, not just in the rainforest, but right in their own neighborhood. These activities include a PLUM LANDING animation and a related hands-on activity with several extension ideas, providing approximately one hour of programming.
Start out by having kids watch What’s That Smell?!!, a short animated video about biodiversity in the rainforest.Talk about the related "Conversation Starters," then head outdoors for the related activity Biodiversity Bingo. If time permits, wrap up your day by completing the "Explore Some More" ideas listed with both.
